Hilarious: Circumcising Me

I’ll begin by saying that I admire Mikey Bustos so much. All of his videos are hilarious. He does it again by rendering his own version of Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me.”

Circumcision is a tradition in the Philippines. Males are encouraged to undergo circumcision for health purposes. It is a good thing, but most boys are teased because of it. Boys usually have to wear skirts to feel more comfortable after being circumcised.

Inspiration: My Father Lies

I watched this video by accident. I was just scrolling through my Facebook feed when I clicked on a random post by accident. However, it was more of a blessing than an accident. The video is worth watching. I have seen a lot of inspirational and emotional videos before. But every time I view one, I can’t help but share it.

The Voice Kids Germany 2014: Burn

Amazed. I never heard the song prior to watching this video. The song is “Burn” by Ellie Goulding. But their version is better than the original, for me. This is from The Voice Kids Germany 2014.

Deep inside where the stars align
Stands a prince
Pure of innocence
In a place where chaos lives
He breathes a life
Of wonderful words
Look at those eyes
Nothing to see here, Prince
Where is the light?
You ask
To guide a little prince
Ask him a question
But the words he speak
Tells the truth
Beyond lies we know
What we have forgotten
He remembers still
Give him a drink
A long sip of longing

He won’t go back

P.S. I read the book The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry just recently. It was a good book, but it was really not intended for children. I was so inspired by the book I had the motivation to write a simple poem.
